WELCOME
Welcome to The 3-D School and Evaluation Center website. We hope you find our site to be informative. The 3-D School staff’s primary objective is to strengthen children with dyslexia by providing them with comprehensive Orton-Gillingham based instruction, an understanding of the learning difference of dyslexia, and study strategies for academic success. The 3-D School also provides services that include; comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations, speech and language therapy, parent support, and community outreach. Dyslexic students are bright and creative individuals who desperately want to learn but have difficulty with reading, spelling, and writing. Due to an average to above average cognitive ability, some dyslexic students compensate for their difficulties in the early years, but as the reading and writing demands become more complex, their confidence and academic progress may decrease. The 3-D School accepts students entering the 2nd or 3rd grades because research reveals that EARLY INTERVENTION is critical. The 3-D School is designed specifically for the young dyslexic student and the curriculum is based on current scientific reading research. Intensive reading intervention is provided through daily dyslexia therapy sessions using Orton-Gillingham based instruction delivered by state licensed dyslexia therapists. Every classroom teacher is a state licensed dyslexia therapist, therefore, ensuring integration and implementation of instruction throughout the day. Small class sizes allow the teacher/therapist to address the needs that are unique to the dyslexic child. I invite you to visit The 3-D School by arranging a tour of the school during the school year.
